There is stuff in the works for that existing Kensington Gate apartment building.

It was heavily rumoured that Suncor was looking to get out of their space (in the old Petro Canada towers) and move into something brand new, so if they signed on that would be all that would be needed for the office portion of this to be a go.

I happened to be up by Centre street north yesterday evening, it looked pretty cool. I also noticed the night before Brookfield Place had its crown lit up in what I could only guess was a royal purple.

The crown lighting has been doing the rotating thing constantly for about the last week or so. Wonder why the switch up from the solid lighting with it rotating at the top of the hour?

Don't believe so, the outfall for the upper plateau separation pipe is just east of the Peace bridge by the lights at 7th street and Memorial.

Most likely, I don't think they've sold the site.

If YYC has to initiate "flow control" that is holding aircraft bound for Calgary at their departure airport for a set period of time so that it arrives into Calgary at a better time for air traffic control. Reducing congested times and spreading the incoming flights out better if only one runway...

Straight up doubling pathway widths would be a good start (where there is space), and still peanuts compared to road investment. Riverwalk is a perfect example, no way should they have just put in a standard width bike pathway there. They had to know it was going to end up being a busy...

If YYC does go down to one runway operation it would be restrictive, you'd probably see things like flow control at departure airports for flights heading here. Probably tricky to use 29 for landing if you also have 35R active, but you could do departures off of 29 no problem to take some heat...

I think it was mainly rumours, but enough from multiple sources to indicate where there was smoke, there was fire.

There are some progressive voices in that CA planning group now, and have spoken in favour of this proposal.

That was the rumour, and for a while I thought the big "for lease" sign was gone but it is up again.

That drilling machine in Surreal's last post was doing its thing yesterday. :)

They are so bad at this stuff it's comical.
