    That option works for me.

I don’t see the the Nose Hill route as having the same characteristics as the other lines. All of the other lines, with the exception of the Red line’s Erlton to Chinook, pass through areas populated with businesses, people, schools, malls etc. As far as I can tell the Nose Creek route wouldn’t...

    Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

It would be a mistake is because using Nose Creek turns the north leg into more of a commuter/go train type system. Nobody would be able to walk to the stations. They’d have to drive to them or take buses to them. I don’t believe travel time will be a problem. If it’s a street car running 50 km...

50 cents change back from ‘services rendered’? Lol

    Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

It’s true, there wasn’t much consideration on the cost, but IMO building the line through the Nose Creek Valley would be a huge mistake. Better to pay extra money now and have it done properly, building it where the people are.

Sounds about right. 50K is probably the critical mass needed to make the Beltline its own independent mini city.

    Calgary Restaurant Thread

Just because they aren’t owned by Mexicans doesn’t mean they aren’t authentic in any way. I’ve eaten tacos at various spots around Mexico (non resort places) and to me the tacos from Native Tongues, or Tacos Mexico taste no different than tacos I’ve eaten in Guadalajara, Durango or Mexico City...

It feels like Calgary is starting to pull away from Ottawa and Edmonton and get some separation.

    Calgary & Alberta Economy

My experience dealing with IT that was remote was 100% terrible and my company ended up going back to hiring some local people, but still keeping some of the IT remote, which amounted mostly to simple things like helpdesk taking tickets and even then they were awful at it. Like in, I don’t know...

I remember there were a bunch of complaints about how this “huge development” was going to overshadow everything in the vicinity. Lol.

Seems like a bunch of people are already up to speed on this! I happy with the 40 floor tower being at the N.E. corner. I’d be okay with a 15 storey tower on the SW corner, 30’s too high.

    Canada Men's Soccer Team

10 years ago would have never imagined Canada having draws with France and Chile, beating Peru and looking respectful against Argentina. I feel like they’d moved up a notch from a couple of years ago when they qualified for the World Cup.
