It’s going to be nice seeing this corner filled with a brand new building. Does anyone know if they are doing both towers at once?

I think just the first tower for now. I don't believe the DP for the 2nd tower was even submitted.

Thanks. One tower is fine, having a podium on that block is as much a bonus as the tower.

Nah they just installed a fence. I’m fairly certain they’re just blowing out the first floor so they can have it level with ground.

I see pilings in front of the stairs. I wonder why they would do that.

Seems odd that they carefully took down the building to save the parkade. Looks like they are taking it down now??

This is going to be a very unusual build. Pilings and tearing down some but not all of the parkade.

they have to dig down below where the new tower will be for foundations. The existing parkade was obviosuly not designed bear the weight of a 35-storey tower on top of it, but the rest of the parkade is being retained beyond the perimeter of the new building's foundations.
