17th Ave Mixed Use | 23m | 6s | Porte | Gravity Architecture

I’m glad to see this one going ahead. It’s nothing fancy or exciting but this is another notch in the development of 17th Ave., East. Now that the entrance is there and the Stampede hotel is going up 17th Ave., East is going to see a lot of development in the near future.
Which entrance?

I meant the entrance to the Stampede grounds. IMO opening up that entrance is the single biggest game changer for the east side of the Beltline. Without the new entrance, the new Stampede hotel and the two stampede Station Towers don’t get built, and this development probably doesn’t go ahead.

I’m excited for this, more precisely I’m excited to see so much development happening at the east end of the Beltline.
It’s an area I thought might never see decent development, but so much is coming together.

There are a couple of properties that have gone up for sale around here in the last 6 months.

234 17 Avenue SE - The Lion's Den Restaurant
139 17 Avenue SE - The Enterprise parking lot

And there was a third in the L of the eLbow River Casino (however it isn't listed on the MLS so perhaps sold. Here's hoping Leonard bought this lol, a guy can hope).
