^True - I like that line of thinking.
I'll wait until the location actually comes out. From everything I've read or heard, nobody knows. Also with Truman being involved I have more faith it'll be on a piece of property they own.Disclaimer*** "the location of the map is not exact", but...they are calling it "Stampede Park"!
Now we're talking. I would much prefer it there than next to Cowboys. There have been rumblings of something coming on that PBA 17th & 1st SW lot.
I don't think this is going on 17th Ave at 1st Street SW. Something else is.Now we're talking. I would much prefer it there than next to Cowboys.
Hmm who did Lamb sell that to...A hotel on the former Orchard site would be great!
It probably varies a lot. The Westjet flights is mostly North Americans going to Europe for vacation, but the Discover flights probably have a decent amount of Germans/Swiss.Agreed. Even if the percentage of passengers comin from these international locations is small, it's still a boost of outside dollars to the local economy.
Does anyone know offhand how many passengers from the European flights are European tourists? I thought it was around 10% but could be wrong.
Lots of Europeans on AC from London and KLM from Amsterdam as well. Edelweiss from Zürich is almost all the Europeans. It probably varies a lot. The Westjet flights is mostly North Americans going to Europe for vacation, but the Discover flights probably have a decent amount of Germans/Swiss.
On the three Euro flights I’ve taken with WestJet. It is mostly North Americans, but there were also Europeans. The Paris flights in both directions had a lot of French people. Felt like a quarter of the plane were French people. The Barcelona flight was all North Americans from what I saw. The Rome flight had a some Europeans.mDoes anyone know offhand how many passengers from the European flights are European tourists? I thought it was around 10% but could be wrong.
I’m hoping the new Fairmont goes in to the lot empty lot you mentioned. It’d be the perfect spot for it.The area is already buzzing, but add this and if someone develops that empty lot to the north and east of this, the area will be really busy.
Not quite there but you’re in the right area!I’m hoping the new Fairmont goes in to the lot empty lot you mentioned. It’d be the perfect spot for it.
More deets? Not quite there but you’re in the right area!
