Damn, that sure sounds like they're going to limit the entry to season ticket holders then. Was hoping it would be open to the public like the one in Edmonton was. So far I'm really not impressed with the media effort to "hype up" this new arena so far.Season seat holders got an email today about the coming experience centre. They were offered an opportunity to fill out a survey about seat preferences for Scotia Place and were told they will be invited to the "Calgary Flames Experience Centre for a first look at this new venue and opportunity to secure your future seats ahead of the 2027-28 season."
I guess it's only a handout if you put 0 value on any event held there that isn't a flames/hitmen/roughnecks game....billionaire or not, I don't view a hockey team owner as being the person who has to pay the full freight to host a brier, or a PBR, or stampede concerts, or disney on ice, or cirque. He should 100% be paying for his share though, which i view as fair, but obviously open for interpretation. This arena will always piss me off for what it represents. Edwards getting a massive taxpayer handout and interfering with municipal politics in conjunction with his interim Premier pal Smith who then effectively bought the Calgary vote with this $300+ million dollar handout. Fuck CSEC and Danielle Smith! I bet ticket prices are going to double.
Strategic, probably: "How could they just use one colour like that?!"
