City Parks, Rivers, and Wildlife

It would be a damn shame if we abandoned this very unique trail in favour of a boring straight path.
I completely agree. But this saga has been going on since 2016 with way too much closure time. I'd rather have a more boring official trail that actually stays open...and then hopefully locals can cut a spicier unofficial trail

Some pics of the work they are doing currently from across the river Saturday. Bonus pics of a beaver lodge and the start of a dam.

They have cut down a lot of trees, made a small road up the slope and exposed some of the drainages. I'd guess they wrap up for the year soon, then come back in the spring and move forward with the easier path they mention. Only question is how much of the existing trail they rip out.

There's a big crane on a temporary pad working on the DFT / Pathway work just east of Edworthy. I took a couple pics of the actual work they were doing, but they got corrupted somehow. I've heard lots of what sounds like pile driving in the area lately, can't tell if it's this or the watermain stuff in Edworthy, probably both knowing my luck.
