That's the plan. Lot's going on behind the scenes with this one.

Not sure how much detail you can go into, but since these are branded residences, are they going to sell them pre-construction and start once they hit a certain threshold? Or will it go ahead on the hotel component alone, and sell the residences as they go.

Those type of decisions I'm not in volved with. My guess would be that they would start selling at the earliest possible date.

The more I look at these images, the more I think the renderings are doing a lot of heavy lifting to get everyone excited, but the end result probably won't be anything that special from an architectural or material standpoint. I assume we'll get something similar in quality to the JW Marriot in Edmonton...tall, blue, but kind of generic.

But as long as we're the tallest, that's cool with me.

These days I tend to prefer smaller-scale quality-focused projects over the tall stuff...but if it turns into a back and forth dick-measuring contest with Edmonton, I think we all win.
