Rental pricing can be found here.

$1600 for a 1 bed (504 Sq Ft)
$2000 for a 2 Bed - 1 Bath (624 Sq Ft)
$2275 for a 2 Bed 2 Bath (780 Sq Ft)

Is this a common price bracket for condo rentals in this area of Calgary?

My hot take is that it seems pretty competitive for the area for me.

One thing that will be interesting to watch is how this kind of apartment development performs, essentially there's been no apartments built like this anywhere nearby since... forever? So direct comparable are pretty difficult. The rentals in the area are typically 1960s vintage walk-ups under 10 units, basement suites in new townhome projects or full house rentals (old and new). Even with all that, there's not a ton of them in the immediate area . For example, if you want a new place that has in-suite laundry ... your choices are this building or a basement suite for probably a kilometre or two in any direction.

Overall, the building lacks immediate local amenities, although that bizarre double-layered strip mall across the street has a few surprisingly good food options. Halfway between Westbrook and MRU on several reasonably good bus routes and good street design might make this pretty attractive for a good chunk of people that want to live in an otherwise quite expensive area.

The building benefits and contributes to an area of the inner SW that is slowly morphing into a multi-cluster retail environment where while still not super urban and walkable everywhere, it's getting reasonably good stuff not ever that far away by any mode of travel. The building is only 1km from Safeway and 1.5km from Walmart, while no Beltline, this isn't the middle of nowhere. It's the type of place that will work for a lot of people I think.
