It's a shame that even with this built it will leave that block with the same feel it has now, unfinished.

It is nice that something is happening but it is still nothing that substantially moves the needle, East Village is what it is. To spite all the announcements and CMLC back patting I'm still down on East Village. It is better for this and the Library square developments but I'm kind of over it or at least I don't really get excited like I would for anything that isn't incremental.

Agreed...although looking at those material swatches haltcachfire posted, I don't hate the olive green/terracotta brick combo. Done right, that could look nice. It most likely won't be done right, but just saying.

Is that a parkade entrance off of 7th Ave I spy? For some reason I thought the parkade entrance was going to be shared with Verve to increase the CRU frontage on 7th. Verve just has a knock-out wall in its parkade and I thought that would be to facilitate the shared entrance. Hopefully i'm wrong but would be disappointing if that's been dropped.

Might have to call this the Christmas building. Great to see a developer taking risks with colour. EV is a sea of black, white, and grey right now.

Red brick is gone, replaced with alu or fibre cement panels. However, all the corrugated metal at ground level has been replaced with green bricks of various shades.

- there will be no new parkade entrance for this phase of construction. You’re right, access to the Vibe parkade will be by removing the knockout panels.

- Vibe will have 2 levels of parkade interconnected to the 3 levels from Verve apartments.

- if I recall there will be 4 or 5 retail units on the north side of this building, adjacent to the public walkway.

- About half of this building will be supported by the existing parkade.
