The requisite for any redevelopment will have more homes and providing retail if considered profitable. Canadian cities tend do the bare minimum to expand accommodations for more people. More people is the greatest source of pride on the forums but, it typically just increases demand extending lines at the newest America chains opening and higher prices for civic services and commercially driven events. Yeah, I'm being especially melodramatic as a good looking building with inviting private spaces around it should matter more on a development forum than the number of people that will inhabit it. 300 to 400 new residents is a satisfactory standard for St Louis. Calgary's population has been growing for as long as I can remember and the downtown has been part of that.

If you like it fine. Pointing out 300 to 400 new homes vs the actual design details and form infers you find it a bore too.
