I was hoping Truman would start construction next year, but oh well. Perhaps they are trying to coordinate their trades, since they have so many projects on the go and a bunch more (West District, Marc & Mada etc) in the pipeline. It'll be interesting to see who starts construction first between Truman and Vesta (hopefully both, or at least one of the two projects, moves ahead!)
 
Not sure if anyone else listened in, but it was pretty informative. There was a Q&A session afterward, and overall, most people seemed satisfied with the development. A couple of people were concerned about their view (or lack thereof), but that was to be expected. Another person went on about it damaging to the environment and the migratory path of birds.

I believe they said the shorter tower would be constructed first. I was a little disappointed to hear that.
I tuned in as well and they said the taller W Tower will be constructed first.

So it seems the tallest tower “W” will be completed first in 2029.
 
I wonder if we’re gonna see any marketing for the condo units, or is this gonna be like the Truman trio, where the units are magically sold somewhere else and the project goes ahead?
 
Once again, the project schedule they've given out says construction phase Jan 2027 - Jan 2030
It's possible that schedule doesn't include the excavation phase, and things could start earlier in 2026?
3 years to build a pair of 60-70 storey towers is a really tight timeline, and i imagine their agreements with Marriott probably have timeline commitments that would need to be met. I could see shoring and excavation starting next summer with actual concrete construction commencing in January 27. Just speculation, but certainly possible?

I would be surprised if we see a sales centre here in Calgary. I bet it'll be similar to what we saw with the others. whether they can sell them though is another story. A couple of years back everything was selling like crazy, but it's a different market for investor condos today.

Never attended, but saw ads on social media for investor events and conferences hosted by Truman in Mississauga, Ontario. This was when they were selling Lincoln.
 
This will settle the speculation. DP is in for "Stampede Station offices" located at 308 17 AV SW (interestingly enough, only a few doors down from Vesta's upcoming towers). It's just an extensive refurbish of the existing building and will include a "sales presentation area". DP2025-05111, NORR architects.

Is this an office for the management of the W Hotel? Or is it an office building branded as W? I don't think most hotels have a separate management office?
