Yeah that’s a major loss. This could have been integrated somehow. Even just being creative and building the rest of the block sized building around it. I can’t even imagine it costing more to do that. It was probably more to do with the condo units you would lose in the process?

The old heritage apartment would have been nice to keep of course. My guess is Truman ran the numbers and it didn't make sense financially or they would have kept it somehow. The other possibility was the building needed a lot of money put into it. lot of work

Remember Truman wasn't the original developer of this one, they purchased it after the DP was approved I think.

So far I haven’t seen Truman even try to preserve a single heritage building they’ve bulldozed. Not even a facade.
