My chips are on FlixBus site east of Centre and 12th. Though the planned Green Line station there is likely to move Northwest with the above-ground alignment, which takes some potential out of the height.

Still, would be the ideal spot for something around 150–200m, help fill out the skyline after Stampede Station. Or something even taller would add some character to the view from the North.

Well there is a building on that site currently being demolished … hmmmm…

Bring back the Exchange project and lets go 250m.

They talk about considering a residential tower on the vacant east portion of the site - god I would love if they went with the original 64 storey version of the existing tower.

Nothing to do with the Calgary tower or new supertall....Think more, something high end that "Calgary doesn't have but needs". There are a lot of things coming down the pipeline in the next 3 years.

The plans do indeed say 71 storeys for the W.

I found another story about FCC being bought by Armco back in Nov. 2024. This quote gives me hope:
"Very proud of our newest acquisition," added George Armoyan in a comment on the post. "I can’t wait to start the new residential tower on the existing foundations and underground infrastructure.”
