A new project in Currie Barracks, by Porte Communities (who appear to be expanding in Calgary with a few projects). Located in the NE corner of the area that was at one point controlled by Bosa:

So I guess no BOSA highrise then...... This looks par for the course, with the materials looking like they might be better than the average suburban build.

It’s only going to get more challenging to build high rise in Currie the longer they wait. Right now, there would be minimal opposition because much of the area is still undeveloped/in transition.

Currie had every opportunity to be University District, instead, it will be Seton. This is an expansion of the adjacent multi-family developments across the streets to the north and west. There must be more coming too because the road they want to use to access their parkade, does not exist and is not named. I guess I can appreciate that the area around Burwood is developing but I'm still disappointed by the missed opportunity for what could have been.
