General Construction Updates

The Avalon mixed use project a block away is now at grade.
 
Lots of earth moving going on north of the PBS building at 130th. Was discussed a bit in the Greenline thread and someone who works there said it’s a second building expansion for PBS and that it differs a bit from previous renderings.
 
Leonard Development Group's latest work on 34th avenue. Going to look amazing when done.

It's fascinating watching them incrementally create this weird, small-format retail hub along the street. Really nicely done. Would be awesome to see other communities get into this and try to make a go of their own.

The only thing I can think of that's close to what Leonard is doing is some of Toronto's off-main street retail districts like Yorkville or Baldwin street. Those are of course much older, at a bigger scale and more mature - but if you squint your eyes and think back to when those streets first got going, it's got similar vibes of a niche retail cluster tucked away from the main strip, with lots of attention to detail of the retail experience.
