It looks nice, but the BMO centre missed an absolute opportunity to include retail along 17th Ave. That big sterile wall of brick right across it doesn't do much for vibrancy.
They have access gates installed at the crossing so maybe they can set up limited access just for the hotel?I'm curious how Stampede will set up their entrance when this is done. I'd assumed right now they will close off 17th at the LRT tracks for the event. But once this is built, they will have to keep the road open up to the hotel entrance which will limit the pedestrian space in front of the gates.
Otherwise, looks really nice! Glad to see a hotel on the grounds go ahead!

Definitely a high price. I was wondering if it's because of some facility add-ons but even then, the price shouldn't be that high.Since when does a hotel cost $330,000,000
$1,000,000 per room??? Seems outta whack to me
There are a lot of common facilities to build. Plus industrial laundry facilities, etc. This also looks to have high quality finishes, etc. It seems about right to me. I'm sure each of these rooms will generate as much or more revenue than a $1,000,000 condo being let out as an airbnb.Since when does a hotel cost $330,000,000

Its not a base level hotel. Its not a luxury level but at the premium point in the hotel chain.Since when does a hotel cost $330,000,000
