Beltline Block | 118m | 36s | ONE Properties | Gibbs Gage

The new tower has a ramp to underground parking in the renders. So I would assume they mean 3 levels are being added under the new tower with the parking under the 80s era building being retained for the older building which is being converted to residential.
I see what you're saying but that would be very odd to keep almost a block size two level underground parking structure for future phases and than build new three level underground parking for this one building. Probably costly to get rid of the parking and maybe you're right but it seems odd.

Fencing up.

Forgot to post this over the weekend - looks like a big controlled demo is starting? The bike lane was already closed and now even another traffic lane is shut down too. Gearing up for a controlled demolition or maybe even an implosion?

I think it would be a good spot for a Sobeys. The area is at or very close to the point of supporting a grocery store. You've got a number of newly built towers, 5 five rises under construction (blue) and three good sized proposals (orange), plus a really large rumored proposal (green) with lots of units.

I've heard the figure of ~30,000 people to support a grocery store and the area doesn't have 30k in the yellow area, but there would be people from just outside the area, plus people who work in the Beltline during the day.

This is going to be an odd first post but I do want mention that this area does have a grocery store 1st and 13th Ave with H-mart providing basic groceries of veg, meat, flour, etc. along with Asian import goods. Not as large or significant as a Sobey's or a No Frill's, but it does provide grocery options for the area.

Welcome @Aardappel I forgot about that place. Also I think there's a Shoppers' in the towers next door. I recall at one time they had a small food section.

Shoppers has a pretty decent food section actually, yeah. And H-Mart has everything the Shoppers doesn't.

Yes. Sunterra could be going under though.
