Yep. Back when Killam had the site, I think a very early concept showed 3 towers. They then had a 2 tower DP (very tall, not the best looking) that never proceeded. Site got split up, Cantiro's tower in this thread on the west side, and the above linked Cidex one for the east side.

This one got unanimous approval at CPC this afternoon. A few more renderings were shown in Administration's presentation, mostly of the streetscape:

Honestly it’s a little wild how many units are going up in that 2 block area. Happy this one has CRUs at the bottom.

It does take out a parking lot but it fails to do anything well other than give people a place to live.

I like this one. I don't love it, but I think it's decent. More exciting for me is the fact that in a few years, we'll have 3 towers in this immediate vicinity, plus the Eau Claire conversions currently finishing up just to the north, bringing in more than 1000 people to that immediate vicinity that should be the start of a vibrant downtown neighborhood. Imperial Taps will be bumping! And it might hopefully spur interest in getting something moving on all those Eau Claire parking lots further north.

Function over form for sure... But I'll take function. Not like it is in a prominent spot and has this streetscape (looking at you WVT).

Is this Cantiros first tower in Calgary? I know they have done a few in Edmonton that turned out decent.
