Once BP is issued, it usually indicates construction is imminent, as a BP for a project of this size would trigger fees owing to The City of hundreds of thousands of dollars. So we should hopefully be seeing some equipment on site very soon.
They'll blend into that area perfectly. lol
Agreed, not pretty, but at this point, they'll be an upgrade from the ugliness it's been for the past 20 years.
From what I've seen over the years, that's definitely the case, and on the city city it says the DP was released. I think we can expect to see a couple more towers hit the MacLeod Trail skyline.
Also another rendering of the earlier one, but slight different.

Interesting how all of the sudden, developers are interested in the Heritage area. Not complaining.

Often (well, many) times clients don't want to allocate any funding to the architect's design team or an external renderer for anything more than these done quickly in-house. It sucks, but not everyone places a premium or priority on getting fantastic external renderings done (as much as we want that; I know I would love that more for sure).

These are also likely rental buildings, so why spend money if you aren't selling anything? Sketchup or Revit renders usually suffice for leasing.
