Where are all our passenger improvement fees going then?
YYC had $3.2 Billion in debt at the end of 2023. So a lot of it goes towards interest and debt payments from past major projects like the new international terminal.
There are also always smaller projects which take capital (the 2023 report outlines fire sprinkler replacement and parking garage refurbishment as major costs for 2024-2026)

 
Very interesting development. Can't help but wonder who this codeshare parter(s) will be, as there are currently no airlines flying from South Africa, Nigeria, or the Maldives to Canada. Delta is possible but they don't service the Maldives currently.
 
AvH mentioned on a recent Alberta Business podcast that their relaunching their rewards program in F25 to hopefully be at least decent. Adding more codeshares and redemptions are probably critical to having a successful FF program.

It's Virgin Atlantic via LHR. They announced an expanded codeshare last June that includes: DXB, LOS, JBN, CPT, MLE, DEL, BOM & BLR.

With tariffs, I'm curious to watch the transborder number. Could actually go up in Q1 '25 with people trying to put in the work and still travelling but we'll see how the year unfolds.
