Perfect location for it, people can't complain about shadowing Glenmore lol.
I think this is where Calgary Dream Centre Erlton is slated to be built.Erlton... I think this is the old school site.
I found another one on Macleod- near 42nd Avenue.In looking around, spotted this interesting land use at the Phil's off Glenmore and Elbow and the lot across the alley:

The application proposes to change the land-use designation of this property to allow for:
Interesting...
- a mixed-use development comprising of commercial/retail on the ground floor and residential dwelling units above;
- a maximum building height of 95 metres, about 26 storeys (an increase from the current maximum of 10 to 18 metres); and
- a maximum building floor area of approximately 46,939 square metres.
So then there's another affordable development going into Erlton, where oh where...I think this is where Calgary Dream Centre Erlton is slated to be built.
Walkable to 39th Ave Station, wow we're actually organically getting TOD. Macleod is going to be remade piece by piece isn't it? Then the City will look at it and think we should've proactively redone it.I found another one on Macleod- near 42nd Avenue.

Totally agree, but I think the building is gone now.Would be nice to see something built over this boarded up building in the SW corner of the pic here, and the parking lot beside it.
I haven't been to that area in a while- so I wouldn't really know to be honest. Last I did was going to Twisted Element w/ friends a couple years back.Totally agree, but I think the building is gone now.
Forgive my ignorance - do we typically build big warehouses our of concrete? If not a usual, practice why would someone want to do that this time?
It has just happened. They're currently grading the land to make it a parking lot for the meantime.I haven't been to that area in a while- so I wouldn't really know to be honest. Last I did was going to Twisted Element w/ friends a couple years back.
I was just going over screenshots and Street View- which was dated to June 2024
108 Mission Road SW. Interesting...So then there's another affordable development going into Erlton, where oh where...
It would probably go faster (and the results would be better) if we would hurry up and to a total rebuild of the entire road from Anderson to downtown. The alternative is to let all this development happen and then like 15 years later realize "wow why are so many pedestrians dying on Macleod all of a sudden and no one wants to go outside?"Walkable to 39th Ave Station, wow we're actually organically getting TOD. Macleod is going to be remade piece by piece isn't it? Then the City will look at it and think we should've proactively redone it.
The other locations with my assumptions on the land (as well as the Mission Rd site above and the Boro Block site)sorry guys, in the news they indicate the exact address of the 5 lands, thanks a lot everyones' participationCalgary chooses four groups to deliver and operate affordable housing on former city land
