I’m in the minority here, but I like it.

I saw that. It’s always good traffic that’s the main complaint 😐 We don’t need to be worried about vehicle traffic in an inner city neighborhood that has two LRT stations, a major post secondary institution and a 100 or so retail/resto options within a kilometer walking distance.

At the moment this is the tower I’m most interested in. The diagrid adds some zest.

Considering how quickly the other conversions went, this one is super slow. Even with the addition of a floor, it’s still very slow progress.

I find it boring, but still decent. More importantly 400 new residents + getting rid of a strip mall is a win IMO.

I think people forget they even before the houses started disappearing from Victoria Park it was already a sketch neighborhood. All cities have sketchy neighborhoods, and they always end up in the least desirable area of the inner city. Victoria park was never going to be like Kensington.

I’m not sure that’s going to happen. Vancouver will never be affordable, Toronto, maybe will. The difference going forward into the future compared to the past is that immigrants used to come to Toronto and Vancouver almost exclusively, but the trend has changed and will continue to change...
