As with most simple designs, the materials used will make or break this one.

The chevys are pretty recognizable by their rear quarter panel/fender area. I know this era of cars pretty well as my old man has a '55 chevy and I've attended many a car show with him over the years:

Yeah its so dumb, and what most people do is just cross 17th on the east side when the pedestrian light comes on, then go onto the sidewalk, then cross 5th at some point when the coast is clear. Its a gong show.

I technically live in south calgary, but very close to bankview, and the diversity of housing in the area is probably the best in the city. On my street alone there are 100 year old SFHs, massive modern infill SFH, 4-plexes new and old, a couple townhouse developments, and some small apartment...

The blue building was cool when it wasn't falling apart. But the other buildings on the block are bland forgettable dumps, maybe I'm missing something, but I'll be glad to see them gone

I think it looks just fine as is. Hoping they dont paint it
