At the risk of being ostracized, I like the orange. The change from blue (in the rendering) to grey (in the as-built) made a huge (positive) difference. I actually like how this turned out. 7/10 (considering it is affordable housing).

This has been a real pleasant surprise. I think I like it most among recent Hillhurst mid-rise developments.

It doesn't look terrible as just one simple colour like this. The cladding four choices are so silly.

I went back to look at the renderings again. I think they show those sections as glazed and not recessed. However, I agree that renderings exaggerated the effect of the different glazing on those sections. All in all, especially compared to other recent examples of rendering misinformation...

Just reminiscing about those carefree days back when the louvers were first installed and I thought they were floor-to-ceiling vision glass and hoped that maybe it would continue through the entire crown. Ha ha. I'm an idiot.

I looked at the renderings on the first page again and in fact they clearly show two levels of mechanical venting below the glass crown. So this actually shouldn't come as a surprise and doesn't necessarily indicate that the entire crown will be mechanical venting.

I'm hesitant to say so, but that looks promising (at least in the context of the [understandably] low expectations most had with respect to the crown?

I don't understand why they would choose glass which makes the tower look like it has more spandrel than it actually does? Strange decision.

This one is rapidly approaching "hot mess" territory for me.

Please build.

Too bad 90% of it is dreadfully ugly.

On a side note, the City really hit a home run with that Memorial Park refurb. Just beautiful and has really spurred a lot of development.
