There is a Community Natural Foods and Wholesale Club within walking distance. They aren't exactly a Safeway, but can get the job done for a lot of items.
I feel like a grocery store being in the neighborhood is becoming less relevant. I get about half of my groceries delivered now and my...
Edit: I am business partners with them and we are seriously talking about a move to the USA
Not my favorite either....I love Canada, but can I give up 40+ per year?
Real Estate is cheap (comparitively) AND, I can deduct any interest on mortgage when doing taxes.
Does a company care about ghg? Perhaps, but find me a company that says, "I don't care about AI and if we need to produce some ghg, we will figure that out later....AI can wait.

Would imagine that the deal, if ther is one, would be for equity in excess of construction costs. Strategic has been pretty good at having very separate businesses, so they have high risk (went bankrupt) and low risk. Whatever gets this done, I'll (]probably) be happy.
As a side note, and...
I have said it previously and still believe it.....4 Ave could become a hot area.....hear me out.
Yes, there is a lot of cars. We also have a decent amount of people living there already. In addition to this project and the ones across the street, potentially another 1000 people. New hotel a...

I get what you are saying, but it really isn't that long ago that Bridgeland and East Village were not attractive places to live. Both of them have been a while in getting going, but they also both required a bunch of new infrastructure, while DT could probably add 10 000 units tomorrow with...
I like it!
I'm also not as bearish about others about additional development happening. There is the hotel to the West, but I could see another one or two hotels getting going, as proximity to the expanded BMO likely makes sense for more rooms.
I've also heard that there could be some...
I don't hate it, but don't love it. It should be pretty burried in the skyline. The murals at street level probably make things more interesting there.
This also feels a little closer to the actual core (aside from Paliser), as other conversions are more West End and Eau Claire.
We all want...
Yes, it's a bit busy, but I don't hate the way that it's busy. This looks pretty wide and I feel like a completely uniform facade might just deliver another Metropolitan.
This is probably a long shot, as I doubt it would work structurally, but it looks like Brooks Brothers is done. That could be a great spot and could have a pretty awesome digital marquee on the curved glass corner of the building. The Cineplex VIP at University District is 22 500 Sq feet and has...
While this seems like a very long term project, I could see it being expedited somewhat. Things can turn really quickly in this city, but as of now we are growing by 50k+ per year and likely more like 75k. The growth projections from a few years ago are being met well ahead of schedule.
