It’s getting closer to a showdown of power. IMO Trump is doing this as a test. If a judge overturns this, but he’s still able to get the military to go into Portland he’ll feel he has control of the military.
I think the Calgary tower will be okay. It’s closer to downtown and has the cool lights and such. It also has the revolving resto and glass walkout floor.
So it’s not my imagination that Calgary is doing well for startups. Is most of this venture capital money going to oil and gas? I’m curious what types of businesses are starting up.
I suppose if they’re going to do this, it’ll be nice if they get it done. Even with how fast Calgary has been growing, the condo market is still sluggish for the most part, so fingers crossed.
Personally I think Fifth turned out okay. The retail portion is as good as one could expect. The upper portion facing 17th is good as well. The portion facing 5th could have been better, but all in all a big improvement from what it used to be.
The Beltline is over 30k for sure.
I guess would be about 32K which is approximately double what it was 20 years ago. That kind of population increase in an already developed area is nothing short of amazing.
