Regional rail should not duplicate what the LRT already does. Transfer points at 210 Ave and then downtown and Airport connector and then on to Airdrie and Okotoks I think would maximize usefulness and speed.
Don't forget that all the stock gains now are based on the AI bubble and when (not if) it fails, it will not be the tech bro's that lose. It will be your pension. Get ready for it.
I reached out since I am looking for a new place this summer.
Studios $1640; 1 Bed $1737-$1960. Not sure if that's affordable, or if it's just more than I am willing to pay :)
That does not include parking - $300 underground and $175 for surface.
As a renter myself I will say the price determines if it is appealing or not. If it is trying to compete with high amenity new builds it will not compete. But if the price is right, you can rent anything. Just not sure if they will price it right. I see the Flyover new build has reduced to...

Thinking about the NC expansion - and I think the key to getting this done will rest on the airport connection and the provinces grand central idea. An airport connection with transfers to Banff is really only great for tourism if it takes the green line right through downtown. Over to the Blue...
If you wait, you will need to wait until the next provincial election and hope for a change (talk about high risk). I cannot see the UCP admitting they were wrong and funding anything other than what they have provided. And if the city says no, we will wait, I am not sure once the Rail Crown...
First and foremost - this argument is troublesome. I don't think anyone can say, with a straight face, that the tunnel will cost less than elevated. I see politicians (Nenshi for one) starting to say this, and it makes them look silly. Elevated will be less than a tunnel - there is no doubt...
