    Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Any idea on the timeline for the Allies and Morrison project? That’s what I’m looking forward to most in 2026.

These buildings are built looking years down the road. Many times over the years people have said developers have overbuilt, but buildings keep going up because they’ll get filled eventually. Population growth will slow, but growth will still happen.

I wasn’t able to get a photo, but this is well under construction, and a portion of it is topped out.

I know I disowned you in the 1150 Centre street thread, but now I am un-disowning you and you've been forgiven. I now count you among my best friends! Carry on.

    Calgary's Downtown Population

Assuming a jump to 65K by 2026, that would mean for the area defined as 'downtown Calgary' will have seen an increase from 38K to at least 65K (likely more) in only 10 years. That's a 71% increase, and an increase from 38K to 67K would be a 76% increase. That's extremely impressive. I would bet...

    Statscan numbers

I think Calgary will still be significantly higher than Ottawa (like double the growth), but July 2025-July 2026 will probably be closer.

    Statscan numbers

The number for growth vs housing starts has been fairly consistent for Cgy/Edm/Ott. Outside of the recent higher number of permanent residents gain in Ottawa that you mentioned, Ottawa has been growing at about 40% of Calgary's population growth, which is in line with the ratio of housing...

    Rumours & Speculation

The same could be said for the Rivers though No interest there either. It’s further from the DIC, but also further from the river and closer to the train tracks.

I was gonna post this and I forgot. Are these containers the ones from Triangle Park?

A corner café in the building would’ve been nice but other than that, I agree not every needs to have retail. Any word on when this might start?

    Calgary Flames Official Thread

I still can't decide whether to cheer for them to win or lose. When they were down 4-0, I was happy to seem them losing, then the comeback started, and I started to cheer for them to win.
