When I look at this image (from @trtcttc), it reminds me that we have a ways to go before we have any real density. It's improving for sure, but still so many SFHs so close to the core.

I'd like to see that too, but I can't see 16th ever being a Broadway. The problem with 16th is that it's a route that traverses the city, which isn't the case for Broadway. It's the difference between 16th ave N and 17th ave S. Unless that can be fixed, 16th will always be an unpleasant roadway...

Good to see the government bringing some action, but it seems like a case of too little too late. Especially too late, this should’ve been announced four years ago.

There are two main reasons I like this design, one is that it has curves, and will stand out in an area where everything is boxy. The other is the wood exterior, which will stand out against all the gray cement in the area.

Dude you said this before and it’s a pointless take. You can come up with a million “if onlys” but in the end it doesn’t change anything, it only makes people look envious. It sucks that Edmonton isn’t close to the Rockies or to Banff, but you need to get over it.

The DeHavilland project hasn’t even started construction. Is there already another facility in Calgary?

If they ever built this out to even half of what's shown in the rendering, a station will be built.
