I wonder if we’re gonna see any marketing for the condo units, or is this gonna be like the Truman trio, where the units are magically sold somewhere else and the project goes ahead?
I posted this pic in the skyline photos thread, but I’m posting it here also. As much as we complain about Calgary and empty parking lots, this photo gives me hope. Seeing how many new buildings of risen up in this photo over the last 20 years, makes me excited for the next 20 years.
It’s a pretty good commentary, I think the points about Calgary were spot on and very fair. Some of the dude’s comments about Banff, not being a utopia and needing a car, etc. were kind of funny.
Sometimes I get the feeling that people from Colorado are jealous of Banff lol
I would say the opposite. Police harassment on homeless is low. Yeah, the police harass them from time to time but only when people complain about them loitering in front of their business or they're a public area with no loitering.
I mean, what else are they going to do? Decide not harass them...
Some friends of mine took a trip to Disney World because their daughter is at the age where it’s still magical to her. If they waited 4 more years, she would be out of that range, so I get why they did it.

Personally, I would like to see a few smaller buildings fill up some if the empty lots in the Beltline, but it might not make financial sense for owners.
