I have also heard it’s the Singapore Sam’s location. I didn’t mention it because there were other rumors floating around and it’s hard to tell what’s what, but I was told quote. “Singapore Sam’s is getting replaced with a Fairmont Hotel”
Truman would be good, but would be nice if the parcel off the land and sold individually to developers, like they did for University District or Midfield Heights. I don’t want to see the whole parcel tied to one developer.
This is also what I’m thinking. It would be great for Kensington to have more density, but it’s not an easy place to do it. It has to be either along 10th St. 5th Avenue or 14th St. This would add a couple of thousand or so residents without causing too much grief.
Definitely a big city feel around 10th street and Sunnyside station. It’s always busy in that area, and will be even busier when these three nearby developments are finished.
The ship will have to tone down the live music, but at least it’ll be selling beer and pub food and the patio will remain. The patio is one of the main draws there.
I like this and am fine with the scale. It’ll probably get downsized, but if it doesn’t, the area can handle the density.
Would it be better suited for Chinoook or Westbroo? probably, but it can work here. IMO the inner NW has lots of room to add density. We’re nowhere near its potential...
