Yup, spoke to a site worker. It's coming down. New building behind it is already up, will also have brick - more beige coloured.

maybe the gutting is about lead paint and/or asbestos abatement before all the smash-bang dust up demo.

Sad to see this go. All drywall been removed - down to studs. Wish they could just start over now but I guess was never feasible?
