Wake up guys we haven’t got the plane yet lol
The talk is only speculation for when the frames arrive, and once they do, they'll be put to use, so let the speculation begin.Wake up guys we haven’t got the plane yet lol
You must be new to aviation, rampant speculation is the name of the game.Wake up guys we haven’t got the plane yet lol
No details on slots right? I was hoping the swaps are for earlier production slots that became available, with another airline cancelling/moving back, like Westjet did with their original 787 order and those two went to Royal Air Moroc.![]()
WestJet Swaps Six 737-10 for Two 787-9 on Order
WestJet confirms that it has converted a half-dozen of its orders for the Boeing 737-10 into a pair of 787-9 Dreamliners.www.airwaysmag.com
The earliest number I've heard floating around for deliveries is 2030, haven't seen any official confirmation on that. It's possible some earlier slots could arise but I wouldn't hold my breath for it, WS is just one of many airlines with a B789 order. No details on slots right? Hindsight 20/20, but WJ's 2 cancelled 787s would of been helpful in establishing additional links to Asia/Europe sooner rather than later... especially with how much YYC has been growing in PAX and destinations as of late. The earliest number I've heard floating around for deliveries is 2030, haven't seen any official confirmation on that. To be fair they cancelled the aircrafts coming out of COVID, where they probably lost quite a bit of a money, and wasn't prepared to invest in growing their route network overseas. But yes with hindsight they probably would've kept it, or simply swapped for a later slot than outright cancellation.Hindsight 20/20, but WJ's 2 cancelled 787s would of been helpful in establishing additional links to Asia/Europe sooner rather than later... especially with how much YYC has been growing in PAX and destinations as of late.
I would like to imagine 1 of those frames could of opened up a direct PVG and maybe somewhere in Europe?
Yeah, i really want to know when we might start to recive the next 787.The earliest number I've heard floating around for deliveries is 2030, haven't seen any official confirmation on that. That makes no sense. They have over 100 on order/options of 737MAX’s. I’m sure converting a few of those to 789’s isn’t going to change their business model one bit. I’m sure thy have some clout with Boeing that thy can get open slots earlier if they pop up before 2031.Tbh, there’s no point of swapping it now if they don’t receive the 789 within next two years.
