In the budget there is potential for there to be no emissions cap, if there are agreement for an industrial carbon price. Looks like Pathways Alliance will like this.

Airlines can see routing data, including connections. If there's enough demand, flights will come back. AFAIK there isn't any restrictions on YYC-PRC routes.
There was restriction from CAN to PRC before Nov 3rd. They are asking equal flights in Canadian airline company and Chinese airline companies. But in Canada, AC left YYC . WS doesn’t have enough fleet . So I wish this will bring some changes for that restriction, let’s keep eye on it in next couple months

Thanks, I filled it out, but - airlines simply do not care about petitions. If their statistics don’t indicate a route will be operable, they won’t operate it regardless of what the public thinks (assuming no financial incentives are involved).
 
Doesn't help with diversification but at least adds 500k bpd of capacity to ship production

It affects crude price spreads, but I don't really see why else Alberta should care if the oil goes South or West, and one is clearly much easier to do.
