An actual pile driver. I don't see those very often, it's almost always drillers these days.

If it does ever go, I would hope to see it get moved somewhere, like maybe along 17th ave etc..
Old news at this point given the construction (the DMAP was slow to update), but DP2024-04859 was approved and is past the appeal period

Was by this yesterday, shoring walls are in on the south side and they had started excavating.

It’s not the most exiting development, but it’s nice knowing another 6 storey wall will be going up on 16th Ave. At some point 16th could end up a canyon of low rise buildings.

Well, between this project, Harmony and Munro further east, and hopefully the Shoppers site a few blocks to the west at 4th, there will be a good thousand or so more people living along 16th in 2 or 3 years which ought to really help make the street feel more urban and vibrant.

It's good to see 16th start gaining some development momentum, but I'm hoping the material quality is decent on this one to help raise expectations for new projects coming down the line. The new COOP building is such a cheap looking turd...I really hope that's not the expected standard.
