An increase in population is fuelling an explosion in new mid-rise residential developments in Bridgeland, changing the face of the neighbourhood in much the same way that other inner-city areas are evolving. A demand to be within reach of trendy shops and the conveniences of an urban lifestyle, without being right in the downtown core, is among the defining qualities of Radius, a modern seven-storey building now rising at 88 9th Street NE.

The project by Bucci Developments offers one- and two-bedroom floor plans, with each of its 201 units coming with stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, durable laminate flooring, and private patios or balconies. As for amenities, the building contains a rooftop terrace outfitted with a double-sided fireplace, outdoor barbecue stations, and an urban garden. Inside, residents have exclusive access to studios for yoga, cardio and weight training. In addition to a concierge, there's also going to be a dedicated pickup location for residents who utilize the natural food delivery service SPUD.

Above-grade construction is now visible from the street after the building's concrete floor plates ascended to ground-level in May. In a recent photo update from the site, the formwork for the third floor wall assembly can be seen, while the levels below are temporarily supported by a system of jack posts.
