I'm not a big fan of the glazing, but I'd also like to see it on a sunny day to see how transparent it. I'm worried if it's it's reflective as it looks now, that will be a lot of glass in one solid color.

It's hard to tell on a gray day. 707-5th looked very solid one color yesterday in the gloomy light. hopefully this will be the same.

As luck would have it, I was in the area this morning, and the sun was out, and I have some pics I'll post later. I think the glazing will be fine.

It's just the coating and the angle of the photo. I do find it interesting that transparency is such a huge ordeal here. I never really thought of it.

Glass looks good. Good sized panels with consistent spacing.

Transparency is a fairly big issue for me, and for me mostly at the lower levels as I find glass that is highly reflective (like we see on some of Calgary's 80's buildings) to feel unwelcoming and too solid of a wall. Higher levels, I don't care either way.

Here are my pics, almost same angle as Beltline's, but with the sun out, a little bit different look than Beltline's The four sections of glass on the left are either spandrel, or the glass but with a coating.

My expectations for this tower aren't terribly high...although it's because of the red spandrel bits, not the glass. Sure is nice to fill in the gap between Downtown and the Beltline though.

My expectations weren't high because it's a chain hotel. It looks like all the glass panels have plastic on them.

I understand that. These panels are far above grade.
