That is true. WS is almost reaching their limit on 789 expansion though. They are grinding out as much as they can with existing fleet. Anymore meaningful Summertime expansion is going to require more long range lift.

I’m not sure the additional of Seoul will make a difference. WS only has 7 789’s and last year they mostly went out full. Seoul is just replacing the Cancelled LGW flights and that lift just got moved to other routes. Only way numbers will up this summer is if they expand 737 routes (ie get more...

I like it. What are the odds of this one or any of the other proposals getting built in the near future? It’s kinda sad that so much doubt comes with this and everyone one before that hasn’t broken ground 🤔

IMHO I don’t think any of the projects to date or the future have a mandate to be eye catching buildings. The purpose is to turn empty office buildings into much needed housing (affordable). I’m sure the vast majority of taxpayers would be happy that their $$$ aren’t going to vanity projects...

To me it’s still a case of apples and oranges. EV is all high rise construction (except the stuff along the river which is getting built). Nowhere in downtown/beltline has new construction of high rises. I love what UD has become but it’s mostly low rise and mid rise which is being built in...

To me it’s a poorly written headline. It’s not actually new flights just code shares on existing Korean Air flights (and a KE codeshare on WS YYC/Seoul flight)

It’s mind blowing how many proposals are out there and how many developers are bullish on Calgary, but so little (high rise) downtown/Beltline is starting up. Hope this spring/summer our next boom starts
