I think it’s a good concept. A few towers right in the core of downtown works.

So happy to see this moving forward, even though the building design isn’t anything special it’s gonna be nice to have that streetscape filled in.

    Varsity Mixed Use | 25.91m | 6s | City of Calgary | MBAC

It’s close to university District, but outside of that there’s nothing urban about the area. I’m mostly referring to 32nd ave in general, not being an urban feeling street in any way, I mean there isn’t even a continuous sidewalk on both sides of the avenue. I agree with CB Barnett about the...

    Calgary's Residential Highrise Boom 2000 - 2025 and Beyond

Incredible rundown! I knew we had built a fair amount of high rises in the last 20 years, but I didn’t realize it was huge. Transformative indeed. Would be interesting to compare aerial shots from the mid 90s to today.

And a few more stats relating to the percentage of non-permanent residents in the growth numbers. Looking at the big 6 metros, it looks like Cgy/Edm/Ott are in a similar situation with around 44% of the growth coming from non-permanent residents. The big 3 are interesting with Montreal being as...
