Yes, the $584 mill for the Bellechasse bus depot is a lot, I'm not even saying something exactly like that is right for Calgary but I do think there are a couple important lessons there

montreal just finished this "bus barn" project that is well-designed and integrated into the community with green space on top, its a nice model for how these structures can have a function for both transit and public park space

doesn't the exoskeleton just make the exterior of the building extremely difficult to clean? especially since it will collect a good amount of grit due to being next to the overpass?
Hasn't Currie always been a few years away? Expect it to move much quicker once the U/D starts to fill out. Won't be surprised if they eventually scale it down though...
As someone who went to Crescent Heights, I can assure you there is a greater need for transit access than "one or two buses filled up at 3:30" — far greater than 2 city busloads (not counting the school buses) come in the morning, head downtown for lunch, and then head home after.
